When the wavelength of the light is stretched, the light is seen as ‘shifted’ towards the red part of the spectrum, hence the Red Shift. A Red Shift can occur when a light source moves away from an observer. Much like the shift in the spectrum, this polish begins as a burgundy red to intense deep red and quickly shifts into a rusted red and a burnt orange, then on to a golden copper, and finally a bright gold at certain angles.
